Global agricultural equipment leader TYM (Co-CEOs: Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced on August 11th the launch of its “2025 Tractor Support Program for Young Returning Farmers.

Now in its fifth year, this flagship social contribution program by TYM empowers young people who have returned to farming by supporting a stable start to their agricultural ventures and helping them settle in rural communities. The initiative aims to invigorate the countryside with new talent and lay the groundwork for sustainable agriculture. Since 2020, TYM has distributed tractors free of charge to 54 young returning farmers.

This year, the project has significantly strengthened reliability and fairness by working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. In this collaboration, TYM is responsible for tractor provision, application processing, and the award ceremony, while the Ministry manages promotional activities, develops evaluation standards, and organizes the judging panel to ensure an impartial selection process. The program plans to leverage external experts and diverse outreach channels to offer real opportunities to those who need them most.

Through this initiative, TYM will provide 16 young returning farmers (under the age of 40) with 55-horsepower tractors free of charge. Applications are open from August 11 to September 12, 2025. After a thorough review of documents and evaluation by a committee, final recipients will be announced in November. The selection criteria comprehensively consider applicants’ types of crops, gender, marital status, household composition, income level (as indicated by health insurance payments), and completion of relevant agricultural training.

Prospective participants must prepare an application form, business registration certificate for agricultural management, consent to provide personal information, and proof of national health insurance payments. Applications can be submitted in person at TYM Plaza or local dealers, or online via the official TYM website or email. More details are available on the TYM official website and the Ministry-run youth farming platform, "TanTanDaero.”

A TYM spokesperson commented, “This initiative goes far beyond simple donations—it represents our ongoing commitment to the sustainable development of both young farmers and Korea’s agricultural sector. We hope that each tractor provided becomes more than a piece of equipment—a powerful message of encouragement for each recipient’s new beginning.
